Our Graduates

Today I try to look at things from different sides and look for better solutions.
— Amir from Nablus, facilitator and coordinator at Windows,
Windows youth reunion, 2005. The graduates from Gaza could not attend. One of them said in a phone interview that was published in issue 21 '10 years to the magazine': "The children I met in Israel may be the soldiers that are now shooting at us".

Over the years, hundreds of youth from Israel/Palestine have participated in our Youth Media Programs, a journey of personal growth and empowerment. This journey not only enables the participants to deal with the complexities of the past and present, both morally and emotionally, but also motivates  them and provides them with practical tools and skills for taking action towards a better future.

Following my years in Windows, I don’t see myself as an Israeli that has to protect himself, but as part of a community of Palestinians and Israelis that work together to achieve just peace.
— Eyal from Herzlia, art teacher, artist, activist
I have learned in Windows the most important lessons I have learned in my life. It made me the person i am today.
— Aylene from Jaffa, an international law lawyer

Windows graduates are the next generation of facilitators, activists and peace educators both within the organization and in other settings. They become part of the Palestinian-Israeli efforts to end occupation and promote democratic values, and they are strong role models in their local communities. Today, Windows’ Team includes Graduates that have been educated in Windows' theory of change and methodologies to pass on the important work of the organization. They work or volunteer in Windows as members of the Board of Directors, the auditing committee, facilitators, translators, video editors, photographers and more.
