Open Spaces
The Open Spaces Program, originally initiated by young graduates of the Youth Media and Action Program (YMAP), is a way for the youth to continue to be active within Windows’ framework by sharing their knowledge with their local communities.
The graduates meet in Single Identity Groups to create new independent projects. From planning and developing to implementing and promoting, they use the journalistic and activist skill-sets they acquired in the YMAP. Besides raising awareness of human rights issues and democratic values for their own friends and classmates, this process also strengthens the graduates’ competences and self-esteem as young leaders.
